On June 4th, 140 golfers, good friends and dedicated volunteers helped raised almost $60,000 at the 4th Annual Jim Connell Memorial Golf Tournament. Formerly the Keith Connell Golf Tournament, this event, hosted by Keith and Bonnie Connell, is now in its 20th year and has raised over $920,000 for the men and women at The Community of the Good Shepherd.
Once again, Keith and Bonnie worked tirelessy to ensure the success of this tournament. They enlisted a record number of sponsors, players and volunteers to participate in the event. The tournament was held at Shamrock Hills Golf Course in Lee's Summit and began with registration and lunch, which was donated by the local Mr. GoodCents store. Participants were given wind jackets and golf balls before heading out to the course. After a fun afternoon, guests enjoyed dinner catered by Garozzo's. County Beverage provided all the soda pop and water for the event.
Thanks to all of our sponsors and participants and especially to Keith and Bonnie for all their support of The Community of the Good Shepherd. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year on June 3, 2011. |
